I (heart) New Girl

Just when everyone else sees their Spring Break coming to an end, I finally get to start mine!

So what am I going to do with my time? Well, I have a huge list of school and blog-related tasks that I hope to accomplish,  but I am MOST excited to catch up on the show New Girl. Does anyone else just love New Girl? It has become my favorite show to watch on TV. I pretty much adore Zooey Deschanel in general because of her quirky movie roles and fabulous retro vocals with She & Him, but New Girl takes my admiration to a whole new level. I think it's because her character, Jessica Day, is a teacher. She's all glitter, sunshine, sweetness, and awkwardness. I think all passionate elementary teachers can relate to her perky enthusiasm. And as a single teacher in my twenties (oops!) thirties, that always seems to find myself in awkward social situations, it's nice to see a TV character that could easily become my new best friend.

I just KNOW there are a ton of teachers out there that love this show as much as I do.  I think we should unite. Maybe sing a little song about bullying and post it on YouTube. Oh, wait, Jessica already did that.
